Helen G. Burnett, 89, of Marion passed away at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Fountain Nursing Home in Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend John Burnett officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Creal Springs.
Mrs. Burnett was born September 30, 1919 in Sikeston, Missouri to John and Sinna (Parks) Doss. She married Emery M. Burnett; he preceded her in death on September 6, 2005.
Survivors include daughters, June Mitchell, Charlotte Kauer, Lela Genevieve Dalton, Marylin Sue Sexton, Wilma Lea Harkrider and Barbara Aline Lindsey; sons, Arthur Evans Burnett, John Wayne Burnett and William Lavern Burnett; thirty-six grandchildren; fifty-two great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren; .
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Carl Dean, Emery Leon, Jerry Emery and Marion Earl Burnett; daughters, Helen Ruth Morelock and Betty Jane and Shirley May Burnett; four grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Burnett was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Marion. She was a homemaker and mother that loved her family very much.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fountain Nursing Home for the loving care extended to their mother.
