William J Bell was born in Galt,Ontario on August 20, 1863. His parents were William Bell and Isabella Sudden. He entered the service of the C.P.R. in 1889, coming to London, ON at that time. He retired in 1931. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainman and an adherent of the Presbyterian Church. At his death he was survived by his wife Amy Buller Bell; his two daughters Mrs Murray Clark (Gertrude) of Hamilton and Mrs Gordon Brown (Dorothy) of London; two sisters Mrs Charles A McIntosh (Jane) of London and Miss Janet Bell of Detroit, MI; and his brother Mr Whitson Bell of Detroit.
