Vida Adell Simpson, 85, of Taylor passed away May 10, 2013 at her home.

Vida was born May 1, 1928 in Darlington, Idaho to Maurice and Matillda Olsen McAffee. After graduating from Mackay High School in spring of 1946, she went on to nursing school where she met Robert L. Simpson. They married June 3, 1948. They bought a farm and worked that together until the children were raised. Vida then pursued her nursing career again, becoming a Certified Respiratory Therapist until she retired in 1995.

Vida was very active in her church callings and in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, she loved both dearly. Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren were her passion.

Vida was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kathleen Everett and three grandchildren.

Vida is survived by her husband, Robert, son, Craig (Shelley) Simpson, two daughters, Nadine Wells and Christy Lingle, 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Taylor Ward Chapel (1101 E 1250 N) in Jameston. The family will meet with friends Wednesday morning from 10:00 until 10:40 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak) in Shelley.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Primary Childrens Medical Center Foundation, P.O. Box 58249, Salt Lake City, Utah 84113.
