"Luther Gravitt, 76, died at 9:30 o'clock last night at the Pleasant View Rest Home in Huntsville. Mr. Gravitt had been in failing health for some time and seriously ill the past two weeks. He formerly lived at 1337 Watson Avenue in Moberly.
Mr. Gravitt is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amanda Gravitt of Moberly; two children, Vern Gravitt of Moberly and Mrs. Mabel May of Peoria, Illinois; one brother, Orb Gravitt of Moberly; a sister, Mrs. Clara Eads of Moberly; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Cater Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery." Moberly Monitor-Index, January 15, 1958
