The beloved wife of Mr. George H. Whitney died last evening, aged about 32 years. The deceased was married to Mr. Whitney about eight years ago, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Craig, a few miles south of Walnut. The writer among many other friends from Atlantic, was present and well remembers the joyous time. All the long years of life laid out in a beautiful panorama before the happy couple then; now after a lapse of but a few years, death has claimed one of the twain, leaving the other alone in a cheerless home and an unhappy world. Mrs. Whitney was a modest, loving, and dutiful wife whose home claimed her greatest devotion and care. The time of the funeral is elsewhere announced.
