Katie married Comet O. Wood. They divorced and he preceded her in death. She married Donald E. Ketchum on May 27, 1953, in Hutchinson. He died Oct. 8, 2011. She is survived by: a daughter, Barbara R. Lawson-Turner and husband Ken of Hutchinson; sisters, Rachel Toland of Marion, Ethelda Beer and Patricia Stuckey, both of Hutchinson; a grandson, Bret Allen Lawson and wife Tracy of Partridge; granddaughters, Cynthia J. Lawson of Jerusalem, Israel, Tammy L. Hoefer and husband Maury of Hutchinson; and great-grandchildren, Danielle Lehman, Cammie Lehman, James Lawson, Faith Lawson and Anna Lawson; great great-grandchildren, Heidi Lawson, Amara Reece, and Kyron. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Ray, William, Charles Jr. and Fred Gough; sisters, Toby Gough, Josephine Koehn, Maxine Mandeville; and two infant siblings.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Westside Baptist Church, 400 W. 12th St., with Pastor Tim Adrian presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
