Harriette Lorraine Whitlow Ward, 94, of Hodgenville, went to be with her heavenly father Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 7, 1918, in Illinois. She was a member of First Baptist Church Hodgenville, a homemaker, a loving mother, and a grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Elliot Ward; her parents, Willie and Ollie Druen Whitlow; a son, Holland Ward; a brother, Hershel Whitlow; and five sisters, Lilly Mae McCubbins, Beatrice Creason, Elsie Seigle, Jeanette Whitlow and Dorothy Whitlow. She is survived by her daughter, Wilma Smith McDowell of Hodgenville; three grandchildren, Steven G. Smith, Patty Willett and Sherry McKamey; five great-grandchildren, Bryan and Michael Smith, Whitney and Simon Willett and Michelle McKamey; two great-great-grandchildren, Mallory and Molly Smith; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The funeral was 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rust-Wright Funeral Home at 612 N.

Lincoln Blvd. in Hodgenville with the Rev. Paul Ritchie officiating. Burial followed in Buffalo Cemetery. Rust-Wright Funeral Home in Hodgenville was in charge of arrangements.
