Julius C. Schultz, 70, of 14 E. Mosher St., died at 3:10 a.m. Monday (Oct. 4, 1999) in WCA Hospital. A lifelong resident, he was born Sept. 20, 1929, in Jamestown, the son of Julius and Minnie Rudolph Schultz. He attended Jamestown High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He had been employed as a bricklayer through the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union in Buffalo for 52 years, retiring in 1990. His creative masonry talents could be seen in many fireplaces and brickwork in the area. After retirement, he established an extensive egg collection from all over the world. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy E. Benson Schultz, whom he married Oct. 30, 1964; two sons: Kirk J. Schultz of Hampton, Va., and Jay C. Schultz of Jamestown; three daughters: Julie C. and Lorri L. Schultz both of Southern Calif. and Suzanne Schultz of Falconer; four stepchildren: Kenyon W., R. Charles and Randall P. Hopkins all of Falconer and Lorrel Meacham of Jamestown; six grandchildren: Christine Crick, Trisha Hopkins and Andrew Schultz of Falconer, Christina Wilson of Celoron, Heather Meacham of Jamestown and Catherine Schultz of Ellington; and two great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Eckert; a brother, Paul Kent; and a granddaughter, Lisa Meacham.
