Mrs. Jessie A. Dix, 79, a widow of Bert E. Dix, died at 8:30 a.m. today at her home at Spinks Corners, where she had been confined to bed three days. She had been ill for the past three years.
Mrs. Dix was born March 23, 1871, in Pipestone township and had spent her entire lifetime in this area. She was married in 1891 to Jesse Reed. On 8 May, 1918 she was married to Bert E. Dix, who died in 1932. Survivors include a son, Don Reed, of Spinks Corners; one sister, Mrs. Clara Koolker, Kalamazoo, and a cousin, Mrs. Arthur Birdsey, Benton Harbor.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Friends may call at the Dean chapel.
