Daughter of Ann Castledine & Edward Cross, born 27 July 1826, Kingston, Nottingham, England. Married John Eardley 3 August 1846, Hartshorn, Derbyshire, England. (Her husband married in polygamy, Ann Jones, 1 March 1862, Swadincote, Derbysire, England)

Ann Cross was the mother of 10 of his 12 children.

The stone is hard to read - she died 11 January 1904, Washington Co., Utah.

Yesterday the funeral of Mrs. Ann Cross Eardley of this city was held in the tabernacle at 10 a.m., she having died the 11th inst.

Sister Eardley was born July 2, 1826, in Kingston, Nottinghamshire, England, and married John Eardley, our esteemed townsman, Aug. 3, 1840, and was baptized the following year. They emigrated in 1855 and arrived in the valley in 1860. They were called to the Dixie mission, and arrived in St. George in December, 1869, and have endured much for the Gospel's sake in this desert land.
