Mace met and married Elsie Eunice PRICE Hansen, daughter of Arthur J. and Laura C. SHROEDER Price, 11 Jun 1918 in
Des Moines, Iowa. Together they had four children: Glenn A Hansen, Helen HANSEN Roth, Mary Louise HANSEN Roth (married the same man successively),
Joann A HANSEN Kopecky.
In the 1940 census Mace and Elsie and three of their children were living in San Diego, Ca with Niels Hansen and Augusta Hansen. Mace and Elsie retired to Texas. Floyd M and Alice PETERSON Ward would visit Elsie and Mace when they took their vacations to Texas each year.
Although Mace Hansen is buried in Iowa and there is a marker for him and his wife, Elsie PRICE Hansen, Elsie died in California and is buried there.
