Veteran of World War II. Served as a bombadier-navigator with the 100th Bomb Group fo the Eighth Air Force stationed in England. Recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters and the European Theatre Ribbon with four battle stars. Graduate of Texas A&M University. Preceded in death by his parents, Nat and Ruth Gault; one brother, Dr. Landon Gault, DVM; and one sister, Mrs. Mildred Gault Jones. Originally flew with Ethan Porter Crew as Navigator, 350th Squadron. Then flew with I Champion Crew as a Radio Operator and flew 24 missions before VE Day. Removed from the Champion crew, he returned home where he became and instructor at Boca Raton, Florida, before being mustered out of the Air Corps in November, 1945.
