Joyce Brown, 85, of Grandview passed away June 16, 2012 at her residence. Sue was born January 21, 1927 in the Prairie Valley Community near Whitney, the daughter of Jessie and Toni Freeman Overton.
February 19, 1944 she married her high school sweetheart, Donald P. Brown, Sr. and they enjoyed 68 years together. She was an accomplished seamstress and noted interior decorator. In her younger days she was forever nursing some young family member back to good health. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grandview.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald P. Brown, Sr.; brother, Jessie Shine Overton and sister, Senneth Rae Epps.
