Quiller Hale Sherrill, 84, of Rt 1, Grandview, died at his residence Saturday evening, January 16. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Reeds Chapel Church of God.
Funeral services were held January 19 at the church with Rev J L Bice officiating; burial was in the Reed Cemetery with Coulter-Garrison-Green Funeral Home of Dayton in charge of arrangements.
Mr Sherrill was born August 16, 1886 in Cumberland county, a son of Andy and Nancy Sherrill. He lived in this area all his life.
He was married to Lela Mae Mathes on January 21, 1921. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last Thursday.
Born to this union were 10 children, of which 8 are still living: Glen, Lorain, Oh; Roy, Otis and Cleta Reed, Grandview; Elmer, Myrtle Webster, Bessie Geyer, North Ridgeville, Oh; Alma White, Elyria, Oh.
Six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
