Mrs. Kenneth L. (Lucille M.) Elliott, 91, of Luther Manor, formerly of St. Mary's Apartments, 2955 Kaufmann Ave., died at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at Luther Manor.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Farley, Iowa.

She was born on Jan. 30, 1912, in Turkey River, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Kathren (Schroeder) Dress. She married Kenneth L. Elliott on Sept. 17, 1931, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubuque; he preceded her in death on July 6, 1962.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish.

She was a die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing and growing flowers.

Lucille was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and a full-time homemaker. She loved nothing more than her family. She also would take care of other children in their homes.

Surviving are two daughters, Lois M. (Eugene) Smith, of Dubuque, and Jeneen A. Pierce, of Omaha, Neb.; five sons, Richard R. "Dick" (Arlene) Elliott, Lyle E. (Ann) Elliott and David J. (Nettie Frederick) Elliott, all of Dubuque, Phillip R. (Diane) Elliott, of Des Moines, and Max P. (Karolyn) Elliott, of Epworth, Iowa; 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Matilda Naslund, of Valparaiso, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Viola Dress, of Dubuque.

She also was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth J. and Audrey Elliott; a granddaughter, Tracy Elliott; two great-grandchildren, Jennifer Elliott and Jeremy Fischer; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Elliott; a son-in-law, Jerry Pierce; six sisters, Josephine Meader, Hilda Schroeder, Marie Clancy, Dorothy Murphy, Mildred Weiland and Viola Andresen; and two brothers, Harry Dress and Leonard Dress.

In lieu of flowers, a Lucille M. Elliott Memorial Fund has been established.
