Joseph J. Bouska, son of Joseph Bouska and Anna Saip was born July 10, 1875 at the family farmstead 3 miles south of Munden, KS. and died April 19, 1953 at the home near Haddam, KS. at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 9 days.

He was educated in Republic county schools and December 2, 1908 was married to Mary Konop and this union was blessed with one daughter, Arlene, and and adopted son, Joseph.

Moving to the Haddam community in Washington county, 29 years ago Mr. Bouska was a successful farmer and stockman to whom work was a joy and pleasure of life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Anna Bouska and Mrs. Mary Paulicheck, and a brother, Luther.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Harzfeld, and a son, Joseph Bouska III, all of the home; a sister, Sophia of Narka, and three brothers, Charles of Haddam, Tony of Narka, and George of Denver, CO.

Funeral services were held at the Narka Presbyterian church. Interment was in (Kasha) National Cemetery south of Narka, Kansas.
