ALEXANDER - Alfred A. Alexander 81, of 3423 Bellefontaine died yesterday at the Lindeman Nursing home, 3537 Main street. Mr. Alexander was born in Houstonia Mo. and had been a resident of Kansas City since 1928. He was a farmer near Houstonia, Mo. and a grocer in Warrensburg, Mo., before he moved here. He had been a property man and custodian for the Kansas City Athletic club and Swope Park golf course No. 2 before he retired four years ago. Mr. Alexander was a member of the modern Woodman and the Central Christian church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida C. Alexander of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Ida Bentley, 300 West Armour, and Miss Mary Alexander, 7725 Foster, Overland Park; four sons, Joe Alexander, 4956 Blue Ridge, Jackson County; James Alexander, Amarillo, Tex.; Ferguson Alexander, Phoenix, Ariz. and A. E. Alexander Albuquerque, N. M., and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 9:30 o'clock Friday at the Newcomer chapel and at 2 o'clock at the Community church in Houstonia. Burial will be in the Houstonia cemetery.
