LaMonte Richardson, 91, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at his residence. Born on November 3, 1921.
Born in Hart County, KY, he was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a retired U.S. Treasury Agent. He was a graduate of Male High School where he was a star basketball and baseball player and an avid sports fan. He was a charter & lifelong member of Meadowview Presbyterian Church.
LaMonte was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret & Herbert Richardson; first wife, Emma Jean Bryant Richardson; second wife, Cara Lyons Richardson; his brother, Allen W. Richardson; and a sister-in-law, Frances W. Richardson.
He is survived by his children, Pat Richardson, Sandy Richardson (Don Keeling), Cindy Richardson (Tom Stanhope), Garry Deacon (Gloria) and Monte Richardson (Jenna); grandchildren, Alex Stanhope, Taylor, Oliver and Alaina Richardson; and 1 great-grandson, Eli Jones.
His funeral service will be at 12 noon Wednesday, May 1st, at Meadowview Presbyterian Church, 2944 Breckenridge Lane, with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m.
