Elizabeth Todd, wife of Neil Todd, died at the St. Joseph hospital in Centerville, Iowa, Wednesday, November 22, at 12:45 p.m. aged 31 years, 11 months and 29 days, following an illness of considerable length.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Chumbly, of Numa, Iowa, and besides her parents she leaves to mourn her loss four small children: Howard 11 years old, John 10 years old, Edna 8 years and James 6 years, her Husband, Neil Todd, of Numa, two sisters: Mrs. Harley Liggett, of Allerton, Iowa, and Mrs. Lulu Beer, of Numa. Two brothers Ray of Tidal, Mo., and Harry of Trenton, Mo., besides a host of friends.

Having spent almost her entire life in the immediate vicinity of Guam her death comes as a distinct loss to all.

For several days preceding her death it was apparent that her courageous and cheerful fight to remain with her loved ones was in vain, but during it all she was resigned in the inevitable and knowing she calmly expressed her readiness to heed the call.

She was a member of the Golden Link class of the M.E. Sunday school, a devoted mother and wife, a valued member of the social life of the community, always active in taking part in the various social affairs during the time her life was not claimed by the duties of home and loved ones.

She was also a member of the Numa Temple 213 Pythian Sisters, where her vacant chalt will be mute evidence of the "Tie That Binds" and her memory a beacon ever guiding homeward.

The sympathy of the entire community goes out to the little ones, the husband, the mother and father, sisters and brothers. In this hour of bereavement and loss and only in the sure knowledge of her faith made whole can we point to sustaining grace.

Neil Todd, husband.
