Of 1017 8th Ave., died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 1969, in Mercy Hospital , where he was admitted on Oct. 31. He was born in Austria June 10 1894, a son of Albert and Amelia (Monday) Becker, and was twice married, to Alma K. Miller, who died in 1956, and to Nettie Shoenberger. Surviving are his wife, two children, Clair of Altoona and Mrs. Audrey Blum of Cypress, Calif.; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild and one brother and five sisters. Mrs. Mary Fox of Lancaster and Mrs. Madeline Tomlinson, Mrs. Cecelia Vogel, Mrs. Ann Calasantea, Mrs. Agnes Stout and Robert of Altoona. Mr. Becker was a member of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the Lakemont American Legion Post. He retired in 1948 from teh Pennsylvania Railroad as a boilermaker, after 28 years of service. He served in the Army during World War I. Friends will be received in the Stevens Mortuary from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Services will be held with requiem mass in Mount Carmel Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
