BLANCHE MARY BOYER, 87, a former resident of Walnut Bend, died at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday May 21, 1985, in Jefferson Manor in Brookville. She was born in Ashland Township, near Knox, Clarion County, on July 12, 1897. Miss Boyer was a daughter of John Charles Fremont Boyer and Mariah Catherine Exley Boyer. She had resided in Walnut Bend for 40 years prior to moving to Brookville in 1975. Survivors include one brother, Merle Boyer of Oil City RD 2; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Friggle of Broken Arrow, OK, Mrs. Dorothy Bell of Clarion, Mrs. Mildred Rogers of Oil City and Mrs. Edwin (Margie) Weeter of Knox. Three sisters, Gladys Neubauer, Zina Shreffler and Nellie Hinkle, and three brothers, Clem, Roy and Clyde Boyer, are deceased. Friends will be received from noon until the time of services at 2 p.m. in the Jonathan H. Hutchinson Funeral Home, Oil City. The Rev. Merle Wonderling, a retired United Methodist minister, will officiate. Interment will follow in Valley Cemetery near Nickleville.
