Tommie Dorothy Traylor passed peacefully into the waiting arms of our Lord on April 9, 2013. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, but most of all she was a wonderful and loving mother.

Mrs. Traylor was born on May 4, 1919, in Randolph County, Alabama, to Millard and Elizabeth Lipham. She was married to Charles Morris Traylor on July 11, 1936, in LaGrange, Georgia. They shared 66 years of happy marriage until his death in 2002. Mrs. Traylor was a long time member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Traylor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, John Clinton, Clarence, Kenneth, Jesse Lipham, and her sister, Inez Bailey.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jo and Wayne "Ike" Eichelberger, of Pensacola, Florida; her grandson and his wife, Jon and Rachel Eichelberger, and great grandchildren, Kalee, Kobe, and Kendra Eichelberger, of Orlando, Florida; her daughter, Kay Epling, and her grandson, Brice LeBlanc of Stanardsville, Virginia; her brother and sister-in-law, Homer and Virginia Lipham, of Summerville, South Carolina; her sister and brother-in-law, Erlene and Bernard Shelnutt, of Ocala, Florida; her sister-in-law, Virginia Lipham, of Pensacola, Florida; and her sister-in-law, Sally Traylor, of LaGrange, Georgia; many nieces and nephews, and her friend, James Crowson.

Her sweet smile and vibrant spirit touched many lives. She had a strong work ethic and held several positions until her last as hostess at McDonald's on Navy Boulevard. She enjoyed greeting and making new friends.

A memorial service to be conducted by Rev. Ron Lentine, Pastor of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home, 619 New Warrington Road, on Saturday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, 5920 Lillian Highway, Pensacola, Florida 32506, or Covenant Hospice, 5041 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32504.

Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family wishes to express their many thanks to the caring and concerned staff at Covenant Hospice in easing her final journey.
