MR. JAMES R. SHELTON, JR.
Funeral services for Mr. James R. Shelton, Jr., 68, of Montgomery were
held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 in the Nantachie Pentecostal Church with
the Rev. Nathaniel Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Shelton
Cemetery at Montgomery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home in
Winnfield.
Mr. Shelton died at his residence Monday, Aug. 30, 1999. He was a
building contractor and a member of the Nantachie Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margia Thomisee Shelton of Montgomery; three
sons, David Chelette of Spencer and James R. Shelton, III and Arthur
Shelton, both of Montgomery; two daughters, Aleshia Chelette of Montgomery
and Zan Desadier of Campti; five brothers, Gerald Shelton and C. W. Shelton
of Montgomery, Richard Lee Shelton of Rocky Mountain, N.C., Gordon Shelton
of Walker and Harold Glen Shelton of Texas; two sisters, Lorrine Morrill of
Montgomery and Dorothy Hensley of Arizona; and seven grandchildren.
