Laurel Whitlock, 73, of Crooked Lake, died at the Manatee Memorial Hospital at Bradenton, Florida, Friday evening, April 7, of leukemia. He and his wife, Elsie, had been making their winter home in Florida for the past 14 years.
Surviving besides the wife are two sons, Morris Whitlock, Elmhurst, Illinois; Burton Whitlock, Taylor, Michigan; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Evelyn) Nelson, Angola; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Lowell Whitlock, Fort Wayne; Donald Whitlock, Auburn and Daryl Whitlock, Wayne, Michigan and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Bretz, Montgomery, Michigan.
Funeral services are being conducted at 2 p.m. today from the Weicht Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth C. Thomas, pastor of the Angola Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in the South Scott Cemetery.
