She was born July 19, 1933, in Scott County, the daughter of Leo Charles and Mildred Lucille Coultas Wilson. She married Walter M. Hoots in 1949; he died in 1977. A son, Walter L. Hoots, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hoots was a nurse’s aide at Passavant Area Hospital for 30 years. She was of the Southern Baptist faith.
Survivors: two sons, David R. and William B. (wife, Debra) Hoots, both of Jacksonville; three daughters, Linda (husband, David) Roberts of Ocean Springs, Miss., Mary L. Allen of Jacksonville, Fla., and Debra L. Hoots of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren; and brother, Leo Dean Wilson of St. James, Mo.
Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Williamson Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial: Jacksonville East Cemetery.
