Funeral services will be Saturday for Frances DiBella, a longtime Santa Cruz resident who died Wednesday at a local hospital following a brief illness. She was 83.
A native of Italy, Mrs. DiBella moved to the United States in 1920. She lived in New York and in the Cupertino area before moving to Santa Cruz in 1964.
Mrs. DiBella was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Violet Evanovich of Santa Cruz; two sisters, Vittoria M. Cali of Saratoga and Carmella Gianetto of San Jose; a brother, Angelo Aucceluzzo of Vancouver, B.C., five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral cortege will leave Norman's Family Chapel, 3620 So-quel Drive, Soquel, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and proceed to Holy Cross Church, 126 High St., where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Norman's Family Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Contributions to the American Heart Association or Holy Cross Church are preferred.
