Memorial services were held Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Mrs. Collins was born in Laurens County, Ga., on Oct. 11, 1915, the eldest child of the late Arthur W. and Nancy Lord Barfoot. She was the widow of Clayton E. Collins and had resided in south Florida for over 72 years. She was a founding member of First Baptist Church in South Miami and was a current member of First Baptist Church in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Mrs. Collins was a spiritual, loving and kind lady whose legacy of helping others will always be remembered by family and friends.
Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert W. Barfoot, Cecil W. Barfoot, Jack L. Barfoot and Fisher L. Barfoot.
