Rogersville - Ruth Henard Couch, age 94 of Rogersville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a active member of Big Creek Baptist Church for many years, but was recently a member of First Baptist Church of Rogersville. Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Charles Couch in 1964 and grandson, Charles McKinney in 1986, parents, Noah and Cordelia Henard, nine siblings and most recent are Ardis Nelms, Maude Armstrong, Howard Henard and James Henard
Survivors include her daughter, Ann McKinney and husband, Harold; grandson, Rev. Stephen McKinney and wife, Amy, granddaughter, Susan Barrett and husband, Ballou; two great grandsons, Chase McKinney and Jordan McKinney, all of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Amedisys Home Health Care and Hospice and care givers, Tammy Courtney, Pearl Horton, Regena Feathers, Jenna Hylton and Cyndi Ayres.
Calling hours will be 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., April 18, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andy Willis and Rev. Stephen McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
