She is cultured, refined and intelligent, and she numbers her friends by her acquaintances. She is an A.B. graduate of Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans and an A.M. graduate of Alabama State. Mr. Ropp, better known by his baseball name, Dick Mann, has made his home in Glasgow for the past few years and is popular with a wide circle of friends. They will make their home at Mrs. Ropp's place on West Washington Street.

Obituary - Nov. 25, 1993 - Glen E "Dick" Ropp, 88, a veteran auto dealer died Wednesday at his home. A native of Paulding Co., Ohio, he played professional baseball as a young man. He stopped in Glasgow during his baseball travels and like the community so much that he decided to make it his home.
