Mrs. Mable Sowers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Thompson, was born Nov. 23, 1895 at Fort Dodge and died unexpectedly at her home in Story City April 22, 1966.
She was a member of the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church and was director of the senior Choir for a number of years.
Mrs. Sowers is survived by her husband, George; a son, Dr. Gordon Smith, Buena Park, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Jane Henderson, Fort Dodge; a brother, Maurice Thompson, also of Fort Dodge, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Horace Smith, who died in 1939.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 25 from the Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church with the Rev. Paul H. Beckman officiating. Burial was in the Story City cemetery.
