Mrs Dorotha Elizabeth Penrod died at 6:45 pm Tuesday evening of complications, at the Bremen hospital where she had been a patient the last six weeks.

She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret Schlosser and was born on May 21, 1867.

She was married to Noel Penrod, Sr on Oct. 23, 1895. He died Jan. 16, 1940.

Surviving are five children: Philip and Mrs Lois Briede of Fort Wayne, Roscoe of Bremen, Mrs Sarah Shearer of Bourbon and Noel Jr, of Wakarusa; six grandchildren; and one brother, Gustan Schlosser of Frankfort.

The body will be at the home of her son, Roscoe, at South Center street in Bremen until the time of the funeral. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 pm in the Salem Evangelical church in Bremen where she was a member since childhood.

The Rev V L Palmer will conduct the services. Burial will be in Bremen cemetery.
