Son of J. P. and Bettie Hillman
Jim Hillman, eleven year old son of Jess Hillman, who resides in the Cleveland neighborhood, was thrown from a mule and killed Saturday. The child had been sent to water the mule at a nearby stream and when after two hours the mule returned without its rider, search was made for the boy and his mangled and bleeding body was found in the path, which led to the branch. There dragged considerable distance over the rough and rocky path. His body was laid to rest at Dixon Sunday in the presence of a large gathering of friends and relatives.
