Max Parker Searle, 85, passed away at his home on Mother's Day May 8, 2005 of causes incident to age. He was born in American Fork, Utah to Leslie Courtland and Ruby Parker Searle. He married Edith Wright in the Salt Lake Temple on December 5, 1939. He was raised in American Fork, Utah where he attended American Fork High School. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dad is survived by his wife Edith, four children: Robert Max Searle (Barbara Ann), Lawrence Wright Searle (Ann), Michael Reed Searle (Linda) and Mary Ann Searle Shawler (Terry G.), 21 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren. Also a brother L. Kent Searle (Luana) and a sister Myrna Kay Searle Milne. He was preceded in death by his Father, Leslie Courtland and his Mother, Ruby Parker Searle, one brother, Don (Helen) Searle and one sister, Clea Searle (Richard) Cook. Dad spent most of his life farming where he and his brother Kent Searle were partners in dairy and fruit farming for 40 years. Kent said he can't remember having one argument with Dad. It was a great relationship. It was said of Dad that he could outrun any cow on the farm and if a cow needed to be caught it was Dad that was handed the lariat. Dad loved the out-of-doors. He especially loved his horse "Old Queen". He loved to hunt deer and fish with his friends and family. Dad loved people and often visited many of his friends and family in their declining years. Dad was very kind and would rather give everything he had away than have a dispute with anyone. Dad was on dialysis for the past three years at DaVita in Provo. He loved all those who were so willing to help him. We as a family are very grateful for your very attentive help and love for Dad. Dad said goodbye to his sweetheart here on Mother's Day, but had a great reunion with his Mother on the other side of the veil. We love you DAD. We know we will see you again. Viewing will be held at the Anderson and Sons Mortuary in American Fork on Wednesday the 11th of May from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday May 12th from 9:45 to 10:45 am at the American Fork 3rd Ward, American Fork Hillcrest Stake, 165 North 350 West, American Fork prior to the funeral service which will begin at 11 am. Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.
