Joseph L. Stoppard, 89, of Mount Wolf, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Evelyn E. (Neff) Stoppard.
The services will be private. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. There will be no viewing. The Diehl Funeral Home Inc., 87 S. Main St., Mount Wolf, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stoppard was born June 7, 1907, in Hellam Township. He was the son of the late Thomas E. and Clara (Lehman) Stoppard.
He retired from Doespun in York and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Stoppard also is survived by a daughter, Elsie Yinger of York.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, The Rev. Kenneth Gilbert.
