Through the death of his only child, Alton, ten years of age, a further grievous afflication has come to John S. Torrey, whose bereavement through the death of his wife is yet in near remembrance. The little boy died at eight o'clock this morning, of typhoid fever. He had been unconscious almost continually from the time he was taken with the disease, five weeks ago. The death of the little boy comes as an almost heart breaking sorrow to his father and to his grandparents and other near relatives. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon, at ten o'clock, conducted by Rev. Mr. McComas.
