Erp's Body Recovered
Brought Here for Burial
The body of Albert J. Erps, who it will be remembered lost his life by drowning in the Snake River in Idaho on January 4 last, was recovered last week, having been located by some railroad men some twenty miles down the stream from where the accident occurred.
The remains, accompanied by a brother, John Erps, arrived here Monday. The funeral was held on Tuesday from the Presbyterian Church here in the morning and from the German Lutheran Church in the valley in the afternoon, both of which services were conducted by the Rev. John Reininga.
The young man, who was in his 32nd year, was raised in this valley and the esteem in which he was held in this community was manifested by the very large attendance at the funeral.
Interment was in the Lutheran cemetery in the valley.
The family and relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
