Former resident died in Hollywood
Word has been received here of the death of a former Ames resident, Mrs. Velma Cowger, North Hollywood, Calif.
Mrs. Cowger, the former Velma Longstreet of Ames, died in California Monday. She was born in New Sharon but lived in Ames most of her life. She was a beautician here.
Funeral services will be in New Sharon Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in New Sharon.
Survivors include her husband and two brothers.
