Earl Banks
West Point, Ill., Jan. 24, --- Earl Banks, 71, a life-long resident of West Point, died at 7:30 Sunday night in Memorial hospital at Carthage.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the Freeman funeral home with the Rev. David Bowers officiating. Burial will be in the West Point cemetery.
Mr. Banks was born Feb. 27, 1889, a son of John and Laura Banks. He was a member of the West Point Methodist church, a World War I veteran, and a member of the American Legion post at Carthage.
Survivors are a brother, Glenn of West Point; and two nieces, Mrs. Earl (Maxine) Nichols and Mrs. Ira (Alene) Howard, both of West point.

Earl Banks (1889 - 1961) has two siblings: Maude Jennie (1887 - 1932) , who is buried next to her brother and parents, and also, Glenn Gorrell Banks (1893 - 1970) .. All of whom are buried in the West Point Cemetery, West Point, Illinois.
