STERNER - Luella A., 92, Laurel Wood Convalescent Center, formerly of Oakland, died Dec. 21, 2000, at Laurel Wood. Born Dec. 23, 1907, in Mineral Point, daughter of late D.L. and Jennie (Page) Grow. Preceded in death by husband, Harry; son, Paul; sisters, Pauline and Kay Rhodes; and brother, Austin. Survived by daughter, Carol L. Weaver, Johnstown; grandson, Robert Weaver, married to former Kimberly Leverknight, Frederick, Md.; and great-grandchildren, Jason and Ashley. Sister of Ted, married to former Lillian Riggleman, Erie, and Thelma Marshall, Johnstown. Member of Oakland United Methodist Church. Retired in 1964 from Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, where she was a registered nurse. A 1928 graduate of the hospital's School of Nursing. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Henderson-Ketterer Funeral home, Geistown, and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, the Rev. Henry Morris. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
