Marion – Roy Morris Richey, 87 died on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in Marion General Hospital. He was born in Scottsburg, Indiana on December 2, 1925 to the late Harley M. and Jenney G. (Small) Richey. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Roy married Wilma Jean Sanders in 1960 and she preceded him in death on February 22, 2009. He retired in 1991 after 36-1/2 years at Paranite-Essex United Technology. Roy loved gardening and farming. Roy recently solidified his profession in Christ and attended Liberty Baptist Church of Sweetser.

Survivors include his son, David E. (Teresa) Richey, Marion; sister, Ruth Henry, Scottsburg; grandson, Michael (Alyssa) Richey, Marion; step grandchildren, Tylanna (Jeremy) Jones, Gas City, Stephen Newcom, Marion; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley M. and Jenney G. Richey; siblings, Abraham Richey, Clayton Richey, Stella Broady, Agness Zollman, Virgie Sherer, Dallas Richey, Grant Richey, and Lori Zollman. Burial with military honors will be in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County, Indiana.
