Born February 27, 1920 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Lewis O. Wilt and the late Sadie (Brenneman) Wilt Baublitz.
Lewis was a member of Calvary Bible Church, Hanover. He was an auto mechanic for 26 years with Valley Motor Ford, Hanover. Mr. Wilt then was employed for another 26 years with P.H. Gladfelter, Spring Grove retiring in 1988. Bud enjoyed the outdoors and in particular hunting, fishing and camping. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.
In addition to his wife Es, he is survived by two sons, Pastor Garry R. Wilt, Abbottstown, PA and Raymond H. Wilt, Orlando, FL; two grandsons, Timothy R. Wilt, Hanover, PA and Tony A. Wilt, Henderson, NV; two sisters, Mary Hoff, Spring Grove, PA and Anna Brown, Hanover, PA and three great grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Lewis H. Wilt will be held at 11:00am Monday, at Calvary Bible Church, 603 Wilson Ave., Hanover, PA with his son Pastor Garry R. Wilt and Pastor Rick Quinnett officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Monday from 10am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hanover.
