She came to America with her brother, Giovanni Sanclemente. He moved to California and died there in 1955, unmarried.
Josephine married to Giovanni "John" Poma on 09 Feb 1918 at Detroit, Wayne co., Michigan, San Francisco Church.
Mother to seven children.
Soft spoken and gentle woman, her cooking was the best, and no body made better pizza.
Very typical of a "Sicilian-Italian woman of old", all her household chores done before noon with the "sauce-a" simmering low on the stove. Nothing was ever out-of-order in her home or yard.
Cause of death: Heart
"I have climbed the mountain
which made me so tired
You loved ones be at peace
I have been brought to rest"
