Ola Mae was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, William Thomas Bryce, on September 26, 2003. Ola Mae is survived by her five children and their spouses: Dillard and Faye Bryce, Jerry and Clydeine Bryce, Gaye and Charles Pratt, Wayne and Jennifer Bryce, Sharon and Don Snowder. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Susan Bryce Barnett, Cynthia Bryce Christensen, Karen Bryce Sparks, Lynley Bryce Cardenas, Dyane Wynn Magliolo, Wesley Wynn, Angie Pratt Berka, Thomas Wayne Bryce, Jr., Steven Bryce-Holtzman, Dean Bryce, and Denise Snowder Livingston. Ola Mae also leaves 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Ola Mae was the oldest daughter of 10 children and grew up on a small farm in Oklahoma in a time when people worked hard and lived simply. She worked in the shipyards during WWII and was truly a member of "The Greatest Generation." The Bryces moved to Houston in 1945 and attended Cottage Grove Assembly of God Church for many years. Ola Mae made her house a home and the values she instilled in her children were those of faith and family. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her family.
