Mr. Wooten was born in Wilkes County on May 9, 1919 to the late Enoch and Daisy Campbell Wooten.
Mr. Wooten was a veteran of the United States Marines.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by loving his wife, Ruth Pendergrass Wooten; sister, Ann Holbrook; brother, E. K. Wooten.
Mr. Wooten is survived by his children, H.L. Wooten and wife Brenda of Yadkinville, Hugh Seth Wooten and wife Robin of Mesa, AZ; brothers, Clay Wooten and wife Carolyn of Gainesville, GA, Charles Hubert Wooten and wife Edna of West Covina, CA; sisters, Ruth Tilley of North Wilkesboro, Helen Howell of Yadkinville, Hazel Renager and husband Charles of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow the service at Crestwood Memorial Gardens with military honors presented by Yadkin VFW Post 10346
