Elaine M. Grabbe, 88 years, of Blair, NE died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
She was born January 3, 1925 in Wakefield, NE to Lee and Meta (Henrick) Bradford. She grew up in the Arlington/Blair area and graduated from Blair High School in 1941.
Elaine married Leland H. Grabbe March 11, 1944 in Fontanelle, NE. He died March 17, 2009. They lived and farmed in the Spiker, NE area for over 60 years.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle, the Women's Circle and was a Sunday school teacher, for many years. She quilted with the Salem Quilters. She was a member of River View Grange, Kountry Kousins Square Dance Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 Auxiliary for 35 years. She was a former member of the Vacoma Church.
Survivors include: sons - Jim (Diane) Grabbe of Herman, NE, Paul Grabbe and Mark (Chris) Grabbe, all of Blair, NE; daughters - Peggy (Bob) Frahm, Pat (Mike) Sullivan & Beth (Tom) Moen, Jr., all of Blair, NE; brother - Jerry (Sue) Bradford of Lincoln, NE; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by: parents; husband; 3 sisters; and 1 brother.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle, NE. The Rev. Bob Hayden will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. with family receiving friends 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington, NE. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Fontanelle Cemetery, Fontanelle, NE.
