HARLEM, Ga. - Mrs. Martha Dorsey entered into rest on Friday, September 1, 2006. Born to the late Peter and Clara Lewis Johnson on September 14, 1919 in Columbia County. She was the wife of the late Hulon Dorsey. She had one son, Eugene T. Dorsey to precede her in death. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church, Harlem (Campania) Ga. Her life was of warm, sweet, loving and gentle spirits. Survivors include one daughter, Pamela (Richard) Bynes, Harlem; two sons, Hulon Emanuel (Janice) Dorsey, Grovetown and Rudolph F. Dorsey, Atlanta; two stepdaughters, Debra (Curtis) Brooks, Grovetown and Benita (Becky) Davis, Harlem. Other survivors include, 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Helen Dorsey, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, Harlem (Campania), Ga. with Pastor Anthony M. Booker officiating. Interment is at Second Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Harlem, Ga. Repast will follow at New Holt Fellowship Hall, Harlem, Ga. The body can be viewed at the funeral home, Wednesday at noon until 8:00 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
