Funeral services for Mrs. Harry (Sarah Landiss) Smith, 87, were conducted by Leonard Cummins on Sunday afternoon at the Green & Adkins Funeral Home, with interment in the Sloan Cemetery in English.
Mrs. Smith died Friday April 17, 1945, at the St. Edward's Hospital in New Albany where she had been taken for treatment after receiving injuries in a fall at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John R. Criswell.
She was the daughter of the late William and Idella Grant Landiss, born in Crawford County in 1857.
Survivors included two sisters, Mrs. Anna Jones and Mrs. Lizzie Lambdin, of Temple; a brother, Charles Landis, of English; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
