Abraham Brown, 84, retired carpenter died at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Levi Henderson, 346 Douglas Avenue, Versailles. A native of Anderson County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Nancy Jane Cheaney Brown and was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church. Also surviving are another sister, Mrs. Sam Dozier Versailles; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Etherington and Mrs. James Rich, both of Covington; Mrs. Ida Chandler, Lexington, and Mrs. Dorothy Newman, Chicago, Ill; one son, Robert Brown of Lexington; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The body is at Duell's funeral chapel here.
