She was born to John A. and Theresa (Bolster) Fleckenstein April 26, 1907, at Burke, Wash. She attended schools at Burke, Colton and Rockford, Wash., and graduated from St. Ignatius School of Nursing at Colfax.
She married John Kunze Jan. 28, 1932, at Rockford.
The couple farmed in the Colfax area until 1960 when they retired from farming and moved to Clarkston. At Clarkston, she became a nursing supervisor at Rest Haven Home (now Clarkston Care Center), a position she held until retiring in the late 1970s.
Her husband died on May 19, 1979. In her retirement, she enjoyed her lifetime hobby of tatting and shared many of her art pieces with friends and family.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Holy Family Altar Society. She was also a charter member of the Court St. Patrick's Catholic Daughters of America at Colfax.
She is survived by one daughter, Dolores Faerber of Uniontown; two sons, Norman Kunze of Diamond, Wash., and Raymond Kunze of Reardan, Wash.; two sisters, Cecielia Brown of Pullman and Addie Millhorn of Tekoa, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, two sisters, and two brothers died previously.
A committal service will follow at Colfax City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
