Born in Corsica, S.D., she lived on the family farm until moving to Salem in 1942. She was a homemaker and worked at Paulus Bros. Cannery until retiring in 1969. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerritt.
Survivors include her daughters, Nellie Daniels of Modesto, Calif., Ramona Savage of Medford and Carole Davis of Salem; son, Dean of Bend; sisters, Bertha Lightenberg of Corsica and Gertrude Duffield of Costa Mesa, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visiting will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Interment will be at City View Cemetery.
